RITES HELD FOR BRUCE RYAN

Bruce Leslie Ryan, 39, of Ankeny, a native of Grinnell, died of a heart attack Wednesday, Oct. 21, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Ankeny Funeral Home, with burial in Prairie View Cemetery, Gilman.

The son of Carrol and Pauline Farley Ryan, he was born on June 18, 1948, in Grinnell. He was a graduate of Gilman High School and a former employee of Fisher Controls in Marshalltown.

Mr. Ryan was a member of the Ankeny United Church of Christ, the Des Moines Corvette Club and the Ankeny Softball and Volleyball League. He coached Little League baseball and football.

Surviving are his wife, Norma of Ankeny; a son, Justin; his parents; and two brothers, Richard C. of Quinlan, Texas, and Keith B. of Marshalltown.
