DEATH OF GLEN OSTROM

Second Son of Grant Ostrom of Hartwick Dies After Long Illness.

Glen Ostrom, the second son of Mr. and Mrs. Grant Ostrom, died at the family home 2-1/2 miles north-east of Hartwick, yesterday morning. The young man has been slightly ill for the past year and had been under the doctor's care a part of the time. But on last Saturday he was taken worse and the doctor was called, but it was thought nothing serious was the matter. Sunday he felt as well as usual and on Monday morning was feeling the same. Yesterday morning he was worse again and the doctor was again called, but left the young man feeling much better than he had felt earlier in the morning. But the doctor had not had time to return to Victor before the boy became much worse and died suddenly before medical aid could be obtained.

The disease baffled the skill of the physician, and a post-mortem was held yesterday afternoon with Doctors Philips, Detchon and a physician from Hartwick in attendance. The post-mortem brought no light, since all the organs were in a normal condition, and it is possible that it will never be known as to what was the cause of the death.

Glen was 15 years of age at the time of his death. He was the second son of Grant Ostrom and was a boy well liked by all who knew him, and he had many friends in the vicinity of his home who will mourn with the sorrowing family in their bereavement.

The funeral will be held on Thursday morning, starting from the home at 10:30 and from there will proceed to the Congregational church at Hartwick, where the services will be held. The remains will be laid to rest in the Hartwick cemetery.
