ORLAND DAVIS, 74, DIES; LYNNVILLE FUNERAL SATURDAY

Lynnville (Special) -- Orland Davis, 74, died at 2:20 this (Thursday) morning in a Grinnell hospital following a heart attack Monday afternoon at his home near Lynnville.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Saturday in Lynnville Friends church, conducted by the Rev. Carl D. Byrd and the Rev. Glenwood L. Stanley.

Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Gertrude Davis, and four children, Mrs. Jerry (Mae) Hunt of Piqua, Ohio; John of Grinnell RFD; Mrs. Kenneth (Dorothy) Sparks of Grinnell RFD; and Dwight of Moline, Ill. There are 12 grandchildren. Preceding him in death was a sister, Mrs. Luzena Beatty.

Son of Lewis and Melissa Davis, Orland Davis was born near Lynnville Aug. 26, 1879, and lived practically all of his life in and around Lynnville with the exception of a few years near Montezuma.
