DAVID H. DAVIS

David H. Davis, Indianola, formerly of Grinnell, died Sunday, March 25, near Indianola of a self-inflicted gun-shot wound.

Funeral services were conducted Thursday afternoon at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola with burial in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Indianola.

He was born March 30, 1948, in Grinnell and attended the Grinnell-Newburg Schools. He served in the United States Air Force in 1967 and 1968 and was a photo stripper for the Meredith-Burda Publishing Company, Des Moines. He was a member of the Indianola Volunteer Fire Department, the Iowa Firemen's Association and the Des Moines Printing/Graphics Communications Union, Local #86.

He is survived by two sons Jason Davis, Indianola, and Christopher Davis, Ottumwa; one daughter Tammi Davis, Indianola; his parents Andrew and Nellie Davis, Grinnell; two brothers Norman Davis, Moore, Okla., and Jack Davis, Grinnell, and one sister Elizabeth Hauersperger, Grinnell.
