ICLE BITCON SERVICES SET

Icle Muckler Bitcon, 91, died Tuesday, Nov. 10, at Friendship Manor.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Smith Funeral Home, with the Rev. Raymond Lott, pastor of the United Methodist Church, officiating. Organist will be Kathleen Heffner, and pallbearers will be Carl Binegar, Mark Dimit, Paul Dimit, Todd Muckler, Trent Muckler and William Pearson.

Burial will be in Hazelwood Cemetery. Memorials in Mrs. Bitcon's name may be made to the United Methodist Church and left at the funeral home.

The daughter of John Calvin and Virginia Louella Jackson Reece, she was born on May 10, 1896, in Milan, Mo. She graduated from Milan High School and then attended Gem City Business College in Quincy, Ill.

Following her graduation she came to Grinnell and worked as a personal secretary for E.H. Spaulding at Spaulding Manufacturing Co. here.

She was married to Darrell Jack Muckler on Oct. 15, 1921. Following his death, she was married to William Bitcon on Nov. 6, 1955.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church and the women's society of the church. She was a 50-year member of Beulah Chapter No. 47, O.E.S., and the Pythian Sisters. She was past president of the Grinnell American Legion Auxiliary. She was also a member of the Razelle Club and the White Shrine and had done hospital work at the Knoxville Veterans Home.

Mrs. Bitcon is survived by her son, Jack Muckler of Cedar Rapids; one daughter, Susan Dimit of Grinnell; and five grandchildren. She was preceded by her parents; her first husband, Darrell Muckler; her second husband, William; two brothers, Manny and Austin Reece; and two sisters, Nora Smith and Blanche Crim.
