MABEL ALLISON

Mabel Allison, 73, of Newton died Monday, May 29, at University Hospitals in Iowa City.

Funeral services for Mabel Allison will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 2, at Smith Funeral Home in Grinnell with interment to follow at Hazelwood Cemetery in Grinnell.

Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home beginning at noon today (Thursday); the family will be present from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

She is survived by her children, Judy Des Planque, Mike Allison, Doug Allison and Penny Rasmusson, all of Newton; Jeff Allison of Kellogg; and Kathy Van Tomme of Brooklyn; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a sister, Kathleen Cline of Grinnell; and a brother, Joe Vaughn of Newton.

Memorials may be directed to the Jasper County Animal Rescue League.
