MARTY SIECK RITES SATURDAY

Marty J. Sieck, 22, of Rte. 1, Grinnell, died Sunday, Jan. 16, at Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena, Calif., of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident on April 23, 1982.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Trinity Lutheran Church near Malcom, with the Rev. Gerald Brown officiating. Organist will be Char Herzberg, and vocalist will be Marlene Gritsch. Pallbearers will be Brent Sieck, Gary Sieck, Glen Sieck, Dennis Johnson, Brett Johnson and Andre Versendaal. Burial will be at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home beginning at 12 noon on Friday.

The son of Paul J. and Merceil R. Snodgrass Sieck, he was born Feb. 23, 1960, in Grinnell. He attended Grinnell schools, graduating from Grinnell High School.

He had been employed at the Wenco Co., Eisenman Motors and the Sieck family farm of Grinnell. He had been active in swimming, bowling leagues, slow-pitch softball and had participated in the Special Olympics.

Survivors include his parents; a sister, Deborah Lidtka of rural Grinnell; his paternal grandfather, Louis Sieck of Grinnell; and his maternal grandmother, Lucille Snodgrass of Grinnell.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Josephine Sieck, and his maternal grandfather, Carrold Snodgrass.
