MARVIN TINKLE

Funeral services for Marvin Tinkle, 60, of Prairie City, were held at 2 p.m., Monday, Feb. 15, in the Nevenhoven Funeral Home. Mr. Tinkle, a former resident of Brooklyn, died Friday, Feb. 12, 1988, in Iowa Lutheran Hospital, Des Moines.

Rev. Gerald Klaus, Pastor of the Church of the Brethren officiated and was soloist. The organist was Mrs. Beverly Veverka. Casket-bearers were Maynard Saylor, Glen Kriegel, Verlan Tinkle, Doug Short, Dwayne Short, and Bob McCulley. Interment was in the IOOF Cemetery, Brooklyn.

Marvin Mowrey Tinkle, son of Walter Allen Tinkle and Beulah Mae Mowrey Tinkle, was born March 9, 1927, in Brooklyn. He received his education in a rural school near Brooklyn. He was formerly employed by Gerard Produce. For the past fourteen years he has made his home in Clearview Manor, Prairie City.

Surviving are his sister, Donna, Mrs. Dale Short of Bondurant; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Gerald Eugene Tinkle.
