MRS. JAMES E. COOP

Nettie Belle Wisecarver the daughter of Jacob and Frances Wisecarver was born Feb. 2, 1875 in Scott county near Davenport.

When a child of ten years her parents moved to a farm east of Grinnell and here her life was spent till in 1894 she was united in marriage with James E. Coop of Grinnell. She has lived in and near Grinnell ever since.

On Oct. 31, 1920 she was taken to the hospital where she submitted to an operation for hernia. She seemed to recover nicely and great hopes were held for her complete recovery. On Nov. 12, a sudden change came, and in a few moments she had passed away.

Her husband and three children, Mrs. Larry Tribby, Mrs. John May, and a son, George D. Coop are left to mourn the loss of a dear good mother.

There are two grandchildren, Alma Louise Tribby and Walter Lloyd May. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. Wisecarver, three brothers Edward, William and George, also a sister, Mrs. Willis Dunham of Marshalltown survive her.

Funeral services were held at her home 1019 Spring St., Monday P.M. Rev. Wasser officiating. She was a woman of many virtues, always ready to lend a helping hand and applied the Golden Rule in her daily life. She will be greatly missed in her home, also by her relatives and friends but we know we shall meet her again in that land where grief and partings are unknown.
