LESLIE E. HARL

Leslie E. "Slim" Harl, 74, of Kellogg died Saturday, May 6, at Skiff Medical Center in Newton.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at the Wallace-Pence Funeral Home in Newton, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery.

He was born July 17, 1914, in Seymour, Iowa. He was married to Zelma I. Grimm April 16, 1945, at Gallatin, Mo.

Mr. Harl had worked at the Deep Rock service station, the Parsons Co., Winpower, Automatic Washing Machine Co., and the Maytag Co. where he was a lubrication engineer. He retired in 1972 after 22 years with Maytag.

Mr. Harl was a member of the Kellogg Christian Church and U.A.W. Local 997.

He is survived by his wife, Zelma of Kellogg; one son, Edwin of Colfax; a daughter, Betty Davis of Grinnell; six grandchildren; and two sisters, Evelyn Spidell of Nebraska City, Neb., and Mary Amther of Rockport, Mo.

Memorials in Mr. Harl's name may be made to the Kellogg Christian Church.
