SANDRA HAUGEN

The daughter of Howard Franklyn and Leora Marie Fogel Lippincott, Sandra was born June 6, 1935, in Iowa City. She was a 1953 graduate of Malcom High School and later was graduated from a business college in Ottumwa.

She was married to Edward Haugen Feb. 6, 1960, in Brooklyn. The couple has made their home in Victor since 1962. She was employed with the Victor Record, as a typesetter for nearly 20 years, and later worked for the Victor Cooperative Telephone Company. Most recently she had worked for the Brooklyn Chronicle and Victor Echo.

She was a volunteer at the Victor Library, an avid sports fan, and enjoyed socializing with her family and friends over coffee.

She is survived by her husband, Edward of Victor; her children, Martin Howard Haugen and his wife, Monica of Menlo, and Leanne Marie Haugen of Dexter; her grandchildren, Jill Nicole, Jamee Kay and twins, Jacob Martin and Jared Kohl Haugen, all of Menlo; and several aunts and uncles.

Sandra died Aug. 15, at Grinnell Hospital at the age of 59. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.

The funeral was held Aug. 19, at the Hartwick Congregational Bible Church. Officiant was the Rev. Paul T. Hughes, pastor. Organist was Karen Hensler playing "Great Is Thy Faithfulness," "To God Be The Glory." Pallbearers were Dan Driscoll, Charles Dunham, Dannie Haugen, Dennis Haugen, Dale Lippincott, Dean Lippincott, and Wilbur Rusk. Interment followed at the Ivy Hill Cemetery in Malcom.
