THURSIA ANNA FOGEL

Thursia Anna Fogel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Fogel, was born in Madison township in this county on July 7, 1889, and died of pneumonia in Grinnell at 1:30 A.M., on Friday morning January 8, at the age of 19 years, 6 months and 1 day. Her death followed only a week's illness.

When she was but five years old her mother died and four years later she, with one brother, was left an orphan by the death of her father. She then made her home with Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Terraberry in Sheridan, who were a father and mother to her, until Sept. 9, 1908, when she left to enter a home of her own, having been married to John Puls.

After only four months of happy married life she was taken with pneumonia and in spite of every attention at the City Hospital, passed away in a short time. Funeral services, conducted by the Rev. Elias Handy were held at the home of her brother-in-law, Roy Ackerson. Thus ended a short life (???) one that had made much happiness for others and so had not been lived in vain.
