DORIS EVA KRUMM

Doris Eva Krumm, 72, died Wednesday, June 19, at St. Francis Manor in Grinnell.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday at the Smith Funeral Home, with the Revs. Howard J. Lord and Glenn H. Hulsebus, both of Montezuma, officiating. Vocalist was Anna Slaven.

Pallbearers were Dean Clark, Marvin Doty, Melvin Kasal, Don Durr, Arthur Goeke and Jack Means. Honorary bearers were Lonnie Durr, Curtis Means, Randy Klein, Eric Means and Greg Stravers.

Burial was in Pleasant Township Cemetery, Ewart.

The daughter of Isaac Sheppard and Bonnie May Smith Sharp, she was born Dec. 11, 1918, in Grinnell. She graduated from Grinnell High School in 1936.

She was married to Henry Louis Krumm May 7, 1938, in Des Moines. The couple farmed south of Grinnell until 1949, then moved to a farm near State Center. They later farmed north of Brooklyn before coming to their present farm northwest of Ewart in 1961.

Mrs. Krumm was a member of the Ewart United Presbyterian Church, the Pythian Sisters, the Country Stars Club and the Poweshiek County Farm Bureau.

She is survived by two daughters, Evelyn Durr of Orlando, Fla., and Carolyn Means of Loveland, Colo.; one son, Kenneth of Fort Collins, Colo.; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; her mother, Bonnie Sharp Onthank of Grinnell; two sisters, Alma Bates of Newton and Opal Lusk of Des Moines; and two brothers, Floyd Sharp of Grinnell and James Sharp of Newton.

She was preceded in death by hr husband and her father.
