LINDA KAY BAILEY

Linda Kay Bailey, 64, of Grinnell died Friday, May 4, 2007, at her home.

A memorial service and burial will take place at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the Linda Bailey Memorial Fund.

The daughter of Roy Parker and Margaret Moore Howerton, she was born March 22, 1943, in Grinnell. She was a 1962 graduate of Grinnell High School. She lived most of her life in Grinnell where she was a homemaker and raised her family.

She is survived by her mother of Ames; three sons, Mark Ashby of Eldridge, Scott Ashby of Davenport and Loren Ashby of Louisville, Ky.; four brothers, James Howerton of Ankeny, John Howerton of Collins, Justin Howerton of Maxwell and Jeffrey Howerton of Marshalltown; two sisters, Frances Howerton of Ames and Sherrie Fanning of Columbia, S.C., and 11 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father and two sons, Christopher Risdal and Gary Ashby.
