METTA MARON RITES TODAY

Metta M. Maron, 57, of 300 Skyline Dr., Council Bluffs, formerly of Grinnell, died of cancer Friday morning, June 4, at Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs.

Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. today at the Smith Funeral Home, with burial at Hazelwood Cemetery.

The daughter of Dow and Maude Carson Mehaffey, she was born March 6, 1925, in Grinnell. She attended school here and graduated from Grinnell High School.

On Aug. 29, 1948, she was married to Dale E. Maron in Grinnell.

Survivors include her husband; three sons, David and William of Council Bluffs and Dennis of Denver, Colo.; three grandchildren; and three sisters, her twin, Martha Heil of Chicago, Ill., and Frances Reeves and Lauretta Clark, both of Grinnell.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
