RITES HELD FOR DAVID KRUMM

David Krumm, 69, of Rte. 2, Grinnell, died Sunday, Nov. 10 at Brookhaven Nursing Home in Brooklyn.

Funeral services were conducted at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Smith Funeral Home, with the Rev. Kenneth Wallace of the Newburg-Chester Parish, United Church of Christ, officiating. Organist was Kathleen Heffner. Burial was in the Westfield Cemetery south of Grinnell.

The son of Henry and Katharina Mathes Krumm, he was born on Feb. 23, 1916, south of Grinnell. He attended rural school while living on the family farm.

On June 18, 1949, he was married to Violet Ruble at Nashua. The couple farmed in the Grinnell area.

Mr. Krumm is survived by two daughters, Vickie Meyers of New Virginia and Patricia Reis of Omaha, Neb.; two sons, Richard of Grinnell and Gregory of Kellogg; four grandchildren; three brothers, Rudolph of Kellogg, Henry of Montezuma and John of Brooklyn; and one sister, Katherine McDowell of Grinnell.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and seven brothers.
