ALFRED LORD DIES IN ARIZONA

Alfred E. Lord, 64, of Ilwaco, Wash., a native of Grinnell, died Feb. 10 at Tucson, Ariz.

Funeral services were conducted on Feb. 15 at Ocean Beach Presbyterian Church in Seaview, Wash., with burial in the Ilwaco Cemetery.

He was born in Grinnell on Aug. 8, 1923, the son of Jesse and Elizabeth Lincoln Lord. He graduated from the University of Washington and Western Washington University.

On Aug. 24, 1947, he was married to Alice Wood in Mount Vernon, and they lived in Des Moines. Mr. Lord was a teacher and coach before becoming junior-senior high principal at Ilwaco.

He is survived by his wife, two sons, David of Longview, Wash., and Paul of Seattle; a daughter, Arlene Johnson of Beacon Rock, Wash.; two brothers, Howard of Gladbrook and Charles of Carrier, Okla.; and four grandchildren.
