FRANCES WANG RITES CONDUCTED

Frances M. Wang, 85, of 915 Summer St. died Thursday morning at Grinnell General Hospital.

The Vigil Service was conducted at 8 p.m. Friday at the Smith Funeral Home, and the Mass of the Resurrection was celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, with the Rev. Harry Linnenbrink officiating.

Organist was Kathleen Heffner, and pallbearers were Cyril Gallagher, Leonard Higginbotham, William Higgenbotham, Edward McNally, Norman Schroeder and Charles Vogel. Burial was at Hazelwood Cemetery.

The daughter of Michael and Katherine Chehak Musel, she was born Jan. 19, 1896, near Chelsea. She attended Tama public schools, later graduating from a business college in Minneapolis, Minn.

On April 2, 1922, she was married to Erwin Wang in Tama. The couple farmed in Poweshiek County, retiring in 1952 and moving to Grinnell. Mrs. Wang was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the former St. Francis Hospital Auxiliary.

She is survived by a son, Gerald Wang of Malcom; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four sisters and one brother. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and eight brothers and sisters.
