Died
In Grinnell, Oct. 27th, 1889, Johnny, son of John and Margaret Lee, of membraneous croup, aged 3 years, 3 months and 2 days. His illness was brief but painful, and all efforts to prolong his days were unavailing. His death casts a cloud of sorrow upon the home and hearts of his parents. Funeral services were held at the house on Monday afternoon, (conducted by Rev. J. F. Herlner, of the Baptist church, assisted by Rev. T. Brande), attended by a large gathering of sympathizing neighbors. His grief striken parents can derive consolation from the knowledge that he has
"Gone to a land of pure delight,
Where saints immortal reign;
Infinite day excludes the night,
And pleaures banish pain."

Note: He was born July 26, 1886, the son of Margaret Leslie Coutts Lee, daughter of Adam and Helen Coutts, and John A. Lee.
