VADA FENNER

Vada M. Fenner, 83, of Grinnell, a long-time resident of Lynnville, died Monday, April 4, at Grinnell Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services were conducted Thursday at the Smith Funeral Home in Grinnell, with the Rev. Marvin Miller, pastor of the Lynnville Friends Church, officiating. Organist was Bernice Smith.

Pallbearers were Edward, Carl, Mike, Perry, Alan and James Fenner. Honorary bearers were Connie Moyer, Julie Meldrem and Charla Beebe. Burial was in Woodland Cemetery, Lynnville.

The daughter of Joseph Alfred and Daisy Mae Sparks Burnham, she was born Jan. 30, 1911, in Lynnville. She received her education in the Lynnville School District and was a 1928 graduate of Lynnville High School.

She was married to Everett C. Fenner Jan. 16, 1932, in Lynnville. They farmed in the Lynnville area. Mrs. Fenner moved to Grinnell in 1989 and had been a resident of St. Francis Manor since September 1990.

She was a member of the Lynnville Friends Church and the Missionary Society of the Church, Rebekah Lodge, Lynnville Women's Club and Jasper County Historical Society.

Surviving are two sons, Charles and Clair, both of Grinnell; nine grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
