LOWELL NORTHCUTT

Lowell L. Northcutt, 82, of Sully died Thursday, March 12, at Pella Regional Health Center.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday at the chapel of Van Dyk-Duven Funeral Home in Pella, with Pastor Tim Sigler officiating. Music was provided by vocalists Daniel and Sandy Vande Krol and organist Nancy Toppenburg.

Pallbearers were his grandsons and grandsons-in-law, Clint Vonk, Vince Sterk, Uriah Norris, Greg Lewis, Arvin Pleima, Rahn Savage and Jim Hughes. Burial was in Chester Cemetery.

The son of Earl and Susa Hull Northcutt, he was born Nov. 27, 1915, near Taintor. He attended Ludwick County Grade School in Mahaska County and graduated from New Sharon High School.

He was married to Maxice Kruseman, March 11, 1938, in Lacey.

He worked at Sully Co-op Creamery, began hauling cream in 1945 and then hauled milk. The couple moved south of Sully in 1953 and began farming.

Mr. Northcutt was a member of the Taintor Methodist Church.

Surviving are his wife; three children, Larry of Sully, Carolyn Vonk of Sully and Charlotte Scull of Mountain Home, Ark.; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three sisters, Erlyne De Jong of Taintor, Anna McDowell of Searsboro and Voyian Richards of Mondovi, Wis.; and three brothers, Clark of New Sharon, Gordon of Taintor and Vernon of New Sharon.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Robert and Carl.
