ETHEL KELLEY, 79, DIES SATURDAY

Ethel C. Kelley, 79, longtime Grinnell resident, died Saturday evening at a local rest home.

Funeral services are to be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday from the James-Schalinske Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Landis, pastor of the United Presbyterian church, officiating. Organ music will be by Mrs. Kathleen Heffner.

Pallbearers will be James Reagen, Jr., Kenneth Norris, John Peak, and Martin Pearce. Interment will be in Hazelwood cemetery.

The daughter of John and Thursey Huff Moody, she was born on Feb. 15th, 1884, at Travisville, Tenn. In 1890, she came to Iowa and settled in the Kellogg community and later moved to Grinnell to make her home.

She was united in marriage with Frank D. Kelley in 1911 and to this union one daughter was born, Delvagene Kelley, who preceded her in death on May 6th, 1957.

Mrs. Kelley is survived by her granddaughter, Sandra Kelley of Des Moines; a nephew, Dwight Shoemaker of Grinnell; and a niece, Mrs. Charley Craven of Newton.
