Born June 23, 1889, she was the daughter of J.V. and Alpha Boget Kline of the Searsboro area. She married Harrison R. Fleener in Ewart on Feb. 19, 1906.

The couple spent a few years in northern Iowa and southern Minnesota. They spent most of their lives, however, farming in Poweshiek County, until Harrison Fleener's death in 1966. She then moved to Grinnell then to Searsboro in 1973. Failing health required her hospitalization thereafter.

She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Delbert (Ione) Rayl and Mrs. Roy (Lucille) Roten, both of Searsboro, Mrs. Wayne (Maxine) Tarman of Ames and Mrs. Leo (Marian) Mitchell of Langley, Okla.; eight grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, a sister, and one great-granddaughter.
