EMMA WARNER RITES WEDNESDAY
Mrs. Emma May Warner, 66, the wife of Walter Warner of 616 Park St., died Sunday afternoon (June 14) at Grinnell General Hospital following a lingering illness.
The daughter of David and Ida Doud Lincoln, Mrs. Warner was born on Feb. 16, 1904 near Grinnell.
On Aug. 31, 1920 she was married to Fred H. McCurry and to this union were born four children--Mrs. Alvin (Evelyn) Sheeler and Gene and Gerald McCurry all of Grinnell, and Clarence (Duke) McCurry of Columbia, Mo. Mr. McCurry preceded her in death.
On Dec. 24, 1947 she was married to Walter Warner at Toledo and Mr. and Mrs. Warner have made their home in Grinnell since then.
Survivors include four children; eleven grandchildren; her mother, Mrs. David (Ida) Lincoln of Grinnell; five brothers and two sisters--Mrs. Elizabeth Hoff of Waterloo, Mrs. Lavena (John) Hoffstetter of Grinnell, Albert Lincoln of Monroe, William Lincoln of Mitchellville, Harry Lincoln of Marshalltown, and Virgil Lincoln and Roger Lincoln both of Grinnell, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Warner was preceded in death by her father and one sister, Grace.
Funeral services for Mrs. Warner will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Smith Funeral Home with the Rev. Ralph Beebe of the Mayflower Home officiating. Organist will be Mrs. Willard Heffner.
Pallbearers will be Ed Butcher, Joe L. Brown, Robert Sadler, James Shults, Victor White and Ernest Blankenfeld.
Burial will be made in Hazelwood Cemetery.
