TOM KISSICK FOUND DEAD AT HOME WEDNESDAY

Tom Kissick, about 75, was found dead at his home in the 1300 block on First Avenue Wednesday afternoon by a friend Floyd Beason, who was calling at the house.

Kissick, whose body was lying on the floor inside the house, had been dead about five days, according to the coroner's report.

Beason told police he had knocked on the door and failed to get a response. He then glanced thru a window and saw the body lying on the floor. Police were immediately summoned and the house entered.

Kissick, a familiar figure around Grinnell for years, was a native of Austria and is not known to have any relatives.

Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Hazelwood cemetery. James-Schalinske Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
