Brooklyn (Iowa) Chronicle; May 18, 1911

FOREST GROVE, Ore., May 9--Gilderoy Littlefield, aged 75 years, a resident of this place for the past two years, died Sunday. He was born at Allensburgh, N.Y. where he lived 31 years. On July 25, 1864 he married Miss Frances E. Butts. Three years later the couple moved to Brooklyn, Iowa, remaining 31 years when they moved to Stafford, Kansas and later to this place. The widow and the following children survive: E.B. Littlefield, Vermillion, S.D.; F.O. Littlefield, Humboldt, Kan.; George A. Littlefield, Banks, Oregon; Mrs. G.M Wood, Woodville, N.Y. The funeral is held today with interment in Forest View Cemetery.--The Evening Telegram.
