Her kind hospitality and satisfied customers won her many friends. To all who have known her the thought of her radiant personality, friendliness and thoughtfulness for others will be a sweet memory in years to come as she will be sadly missed.

Mrs. Rector enjoyed good health until a short time after her son's death she developed heart trouble and August 20, 1948, she suffered a stroke and was cared for in the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Osborn, the family doing everything possible for her comfort for which she was very appreciative. She suffered a severe stroke January 30th and passed peacefully away without regaining consciousness, January 31st, 1949, aged 67 years and one month.

She is survived by her daughter Mrs. Fernne Osborn and husband; three grandsons, Neil and Keith, married, of Brooklyn, and Gene who enlisted in the Army January 3rd and is now stationed at Ft. Riley; three granddaughters, Lucille, Blythe and Karel Osborn at home; and one great-grandson, Danny Keith Osborn; one sister, Mrs. Andy Schultz of Grinnell; a half brother, Willard Royce of Washington, D.C.; a half sister, Mrs. Vera Magnusson of Malcom; two step sisters, Mrs. Stella Vest of Norwood, Colo. and Mrs. Leanne Vest of Malcom; and many relatives and friends.
