NOLA N. DILLON

Nola N. Dillon, 73, of Rte. 1, Malcom, died Saturday, Aug. 7, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Martin Schreiber officiating. Organist will be Teresa Ziegenmeyer.

Pallbearers will be Jason Dillon, Troy Dillon, Dale Emmert, Denny Gritsch, Randy Lidtka and Lowell Pickhardt. Honorary bearers will be Cal Barnes, Clarence Cogley, Bernard "Curly" Criswell, Conrad DeBondt and Ross Mintle.

Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery with the Smith Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the church.

The daughter of Frederick and Nora Baustian Lidtka, she was born Jan. 28, 1920, northeast of Grinnell. She was raised on the family farm and attended Sheridan No. 8 School. She graduated from Malcom High School in 1937 and later attended A.I.B. in Des Moines. She then worked at Grinnell State Bank and for Beaumont General Hospital, Beaumont, Texas.

She was married to Charles Dillon March 26, 1944, in El Paso, Texas. They farmed near Malcom.

Mrs. Dillon was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and was a Sunday school teacher.

She is survived by her husband, Charles; two sons, Carl and Fred, both of Grinnell; three grandchildren and one great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson; and two brothers, Earl and Eldon Lidtka.
