FRED C. WATSON DIES FOLLOWING AN OPERATION

Fred C. Watson, who had lived his long life in the Searsboro neighborhood, died at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon in the Lutheran hospital in Des Moines following an operation performed that morning. He would have been 75 years old on his next birthday June 28. He was the son of Simon and Susan Beeler Watson and was born on a farm east of Searsboro. His home place was located north of Searsboro.

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the West Liberty church east of Searsboro with interment in the cemetery there.
