FRED C. GLOE RITES HELD IN FORT COLLINS

Funeral services were held September 18 for Fred C. Gloe of 527 Mathews St., Fort Collins, Colo., at the Warren Funeral Home at Ft. Collins. Burial was at Santa Rosa, Calif. Sept. 21.

Mr. Gloe died at the Poudre Valley Hospital at the age of 78. He had been in poor health since suffering a heart ailment in December, 1961.

He was born Oct. 3, 1885, at Brooklyn and lived in this vicinity until 1929. He was married to Pearl Johnston in 1910 and three sons were born to the couple: Lester of Lafayette, Calif., Floyd of Davenport and Raymond, who lost his life during World War II.

Mr. and Mrs. Gloe moved to Davenport in 1947 where the former worked at a dairy and at the Farmall plant until 1942 when they moved to a farm near Donahue. In the spring of 1947 they moved to Santa Rosa, Calif. where Mrs. Gloe died in August, 1947.

Mr. Gloe returned to Brooklyn and Nov. 1, 1949, was married to Ada Forehand at Denver, Colo. They moved to Fort Collins where they lived ever since.

Survivors include his widow; sons, Lester and Floyd; a grandson, William Gloe of Moline, Ill.; two stepsons, Elbert and Leroy Forehand; two step-grandchildren, Ruth Ann Forehand and Leroy Forehand; a sister, Mrs. John (Anna) Edelen of Brooklyn, and a brother, William K. Gloe of Davenport.

Preceding him in death were his wife, Pearl; son, Raymond; his parents and three brothers, Otto of Ft. Collins and two infant brothers.
