JULIE BRANDON SERVICES TODAY

Julie A. Brandon, 30, of 508 Spring St., Grinnell, died Monday, July 30, at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines following surgery.

The daughter of Daniel H. and Elna Fleming Miner, she was born Feb. 23, 1943, in Grinnell and received her education in the Grinnell schools.

She was married to Robert Brandon May 19, 1966, in Council Bluffs. The couple had three children: Robert Gene, 6, Darci Lynn, 3, and John, 1. Since her marriage she had lived in Council Bluffs until June of this year when she moved to Grinnell and made her home with her mother, Mrs. Roy Temple.

She was a member of the Pentecostal Church of God in Council Bluffs.

Mrs. Brandon is survived by her mother; her three children; her grandmother, Mrs. Pat Fleming of Grinnell; two sisters, Mrs. Glen (Sandra) Tyson of Council Bluffs and Mrs. Dale (Dee) Saunders of Newton; and her father, Daniel Miner of Quinland, Tex. She was preceded in death by her step father, Roy Temple, July 28, 1970.

Funeral services for Mrs. Brandon were held at 2 p.m. today (Thursday) at the James-Schalinske Funeral Home. Horace Schaffner, pastor of the Grinnell Christian Church, officiated, and organist was Kathleen Heffner. Pallbearers were Daniel Fleming, John Fleming II, Henry Allspach, William Noel Jr., Don Saville Jr., and William Smith.

Burial was in Hazelwood Cemetery.
