ELNA M. TEMPLE

Elna M. Temple, 75, of 506 Center St., Grinnell, died Friday, Sept, 27, at Grinnell General Hospital.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, at the Shelter House at Lake Nyanza. Mrs. Temple's body was donated to the University of Iowa College of Medicine.

The daughter of Patrick and Lela Cook Fleming, she was born Jan. 19, 1916, in Grinnell. She was a graduate of Grinnell High School and had lived most of her life here.

She was married to John LeRoy Temple July 16, 1954, in Brainerd, Minn. Mrs. Temple had worked as a clerk at Spurgeon's Store here.

She is survived by two daughters, Sandy Tyson of Council Bluffs and Dee Saunders of Newton; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Elaine Dean of Marshalltown, Helen Noel of Grinnell and Ardene McKeag of Marshalltown.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one daughter, Julie Ann Brandon; one brother, John Fleming; one sister, Kathleen Saville; and one great-grandson.

Memorials may be left at the Wallace-Pence Funeral Home in Newton, which is in charge of arrangements.
