ED RIVERS, 71

Ed Rivers, 71, of Riverview, Florida, died January 11, 1997, at Riverview.

Memorial funeral services will be held on Friday, April 4 at 1 p.m. at Watts Funeral Home. Rev. Dennis Dorsheimer, of the Jackson Church of Christ, will officiate. The music selection will be "Amazing Grace." Burial will be in the Jackson Township Cemetery.

Ed Rivers was born on May 19, 1925, the son of David and Agnes (Wood) Rivers. He graduated from Montezuma High School in 1943 and the University of Iowa in 1950. He worked all of his life in the accounting field. He was a member of the Elks Lodge.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Farrell Rivers and one sister, Glema Jones.

Ed is survived by one brother-in-law, Alfred Jones of Geneseo, Ill.; four nieces and one nephew.
