FARRELL RIVERS SERVICES HELD

Farrell L. (Tom) Rivers, 69, of Buckeye, Ariz., died Tuesday, Jan. 11, at Phoenix, Ariz.

Graveside rites were conducted at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 17, at Jackson Township Cemetery, Montezuma, with the Rev. John Darlington officiating. A flag-folding ceremony was conducted by members of the Blakely-Stevens American Legion Post.

Funeral services had been conducted on Jan. 15 in Buckeye.

The son of David and Agnes Wood Rivers, he was born Aug. 27, 1913, in Washington Township. He served with the U.S. Air Force during World War II and was a retired farm machinery mechanic for the New Holland Co.

Survivors include his wife, Gladys; three stepsons, Shamblin Coleman, John Coleman and Ronald Coleman; one sister, Glema Jones of Searsboro; and one brother, Ed Rivers of Temple Terrace, Fla.
