FORMER IOWA LADY DIES IN CALIFORNIA

Amy May Applegate was born in Poweshiek Co., Iowa, April 25th, 1878 and died in Los Angeles, Co., Calif., Nov. 1st, 1930 after a long illness, aged fifty-two years.

She confessed her faith in the Master and was buried with Him in baptism, at the Christian Church in New Sharon, Iowa, when about sixteen years old. She continued faithful through life and is now in that Haven prepared for the faithful.

She was married to E.R. Reeves Nov. 2nd, 1895.

She is survived by her father, W.J. Applegate; three brothers, William J., Lester L. and John Applegate; one sister, Mrs. Lizzie McCune; four children, Mrs. Faye Rhodebeck, Mrs. Vera Kauffman, Roy and Jack Reeves; and six grandchildren.--New Sharon Star.
