Grace Almedia Applegate was born in Jasper county, Ia., Dec. 21, 1883, and departed this life July 26, 1903; aged 19 years, 7 months and 5 days. Some seven years ago she obeyed her Savior at West Liberty, seven miles west of this city. She was a bright and interesting young lady. After ten days of severe suffering death came to her release and she quietly folded her tired arms and sank to rest.

She leaves a father, two sisters, grand-parents and other relatives together with many friends to mourn her early decease. Funeral services were from the Christian church at 1 p.m., yesterday, by Elder J.H. Stark, in the presence of a large audience, after which the remains were taken to West Liberty to be placed beside those of mother, brother and sister.
