FRED RIVERS

Fred Rivers, 64, Route 1, Cedar Falls, who lived at 203 Sherwood Drive, Waterloo, until a year ago, died unexpectedly at 11 a.m. Tuesday at his home of a heart attack.

He was born Oct. 04, 1880, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Rivers, in Poweshiek County, Iowa. On Nov. 29, 1903, he married Nellie B. Watson, and he had been employed by the John Deere Tractor Co., for the past 28 years.

Surviving besides his wife are two daughters, Mrs. Elmer Manahl, at home, Mrs. Claude Ferneau, Chicago; one son, Rex F. Rivers, 2409 Grand Boulevard, Cedar Falls; two granddaughters; and two brothers Richard, Malcom, Ia., and David, Montezuma, Ia.

The body is at Kistner Funeral Home.

FRED RIVERS

Funeral services for Fred Rivers, Route 1, Cedar Falls, formerly of Waterloo, who died Wednesday in his home following a heart attack, will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday, in Kistner Funeral Home, with Rev. Robert M. Arthur, associate pastor of Walnut Street Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Vernon Township Cemetery. (Mount Vernon Cemetery - Waterloo, Black Hawk Co., IA)
