At an early age, she and her parents moved to a farm about 5 miles east of New Sharon, where she grew to womanhood. For several years she was employed in telephone work both in New Sharon and later in Grinnell.
She was united in marriage to Lloyd Henderson on April 25, 1923. To this union were born two sons, Robert, now in the armed service and Donald, at home.

She leaves to mourn her passing, besides her husband and two sons, her parents, three sisters, Mrs. Sherman Gilbert, Mrs. Sam McConkey and Mrs. Jeffrey Creamer, together with a host of relatives, friends and neighbors.
Funeral services were held from Saint Mary's Catholic church in Grinnell on Oct. 20, 1943, and conducted by Father McCann of Newton, an old-time friend of the family.
The pall bearers were Herbert Hutchison, Charles Kimball, Cecil King, Earl Kennedy, A.M. Barr and Pearl Stanley. All were personal friends of the family.
