OBITUARY

Uncle Sammy Norris, of Grinnell, formerly of Sheridan, died January 30, at the home of his son, J.W. Norris,of Grinnell. He was well known in Sheridan and south Tama. He was by occupation a plasterer and there is hardly a domicile in this vicinity but what bears the marks of his excellent genius and workmanship. Besides being a good mechanic he was a genial, jolly old gentleman and had a host of warm friends. He was ninety years of age and straight as an arrow and the picture of physical health to the day of his "passing over." He went to bed at night in apparent good health and was found dead in bed the next morning. His remains were interred in the Brooklyn cemetery. Peace to the great old man.
