"JEFF" MANATT, FORMER GRINNELL BARBER, IS DEAD

George Jefferson Manatt, better remembered as "Jeff" Manatt by hosts of Grinnell friends, passed away in Des Moines Thursday at the home of his son, Randall Manatt, with whom he had been making his home during the past six months. Funeral services were held from Snyder Brothers' chapel Sunday afternoon, conducted by Rev. William Welsh of the Baptist church. Burial was at Hazelwood.

Mr. Manatt was born in Brooklyn and had spent practically his entire life in Grinnell, where for a long time he operated a barber shop. He is survived by his wife and seven children.
