IRVING B. MYERS

Funeral services for Irving B. Myers, 60, of Victor were held Friday, Feb. 28, at 2:00 p.m. at the McAninch Chapel in Victor. Mr. Myers died Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 25, 1975, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids following a short illness. Rev. Lloyd E. Brockmeyer, pastor of the United Methodist Church in Victor,officiated at the services. Organ music was provided by Ireta Daniels. Pallbearers were Frank Koehn, Cecil Schrader, George Maschmann, W.J. Weiskopf, Marvin Read, and Wallace Rohrer.

Irving Myers

Irving Benson Myers, son of Raymond and Bertha Myers, was born September 4, 1914, near Victor, Iowa. He was united in marriage to Thursia Mae Hayward on August 12, 1937, in Marengo. He farmed on several different places in the Victor area until January 1965. In December, 1967 they moved from the farm into Victor. For the last nine years he has been employed by Amana Refrigeration, Inc. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Victor.

He is survived by his wife, Thursia, two sons and daughters-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Terry Myers of Fairfax, and Mr. and Mrs. Daryl Myers of Victor, one son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Lonny Koehn of Victor, three grandsons, Paul and Mike Myers of Fairfax, and Jason Koehn of Victor; two sisters, Mrs. Gladys Collingwood of Williamsburg and Mrs. Ruth Barker of Denver, Colo., and one brother, Russell Myers of Victor.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
