FUNERAL SERVICES FOR HARRY M. GWIN HELD SATURDAY

Funeral services for the late Harry Morton Gwin were held from the Smith funeral home Saturday afternoon. Rev. Leland Mann conducted the service. Music was provided by Mr. and Mrs. Edward Bohstedt. Pallbearers were Charles Cunningham, Loyd Hurdle, Herman Laskewitz, Milo Lemke, Walter Paulson and Hoyt Veber. Interment was in Hazelwood cemetery.

Harrison Morton Gwin, son of John W. and Anna Palmer Gwin, was born May 19, 1889, in Albion, Neb., and departed this life Sept. 8, 1949, at the age of 60 years, 3 months and 20 days at his home in Grinnell.

On Nov. 30, 1912, he was united in marriage with Alma Fae Benton. To this union were born seven children, Pauline Graham of Waterloo; Lucille Lockhart of Ft. Des Moines; Harriet Braley of Malcom; Cathryn Souter of Grinnell; Lillian Rasmussen of Omaha, Neb.; Shirley Monsma of Kellogg; and Harry Jr., at home.

After farming near Carnforth for about nine years he and his family moved to Grinnell where he spent his remaining life.

Preceding him in death were his parents, one brother Louis, and one sister, Minnie Legg.

Left to mourn his passing besides his wife and children are two sisters, Mrs. E.R. Alley of Grinnell and Ida Windhurst, and eleven grandchildren.
