FUNERAL HELD FOR MRS. FISER

Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 24 at the McAninch Chapel in Victor for Mrs. Wilma Fiser, a native of Brooklyn. Rev. John Rosenberger of the Ladora Methodist church officiated.

Bearers were Dennis Fiser, Dean Fiser, David Fiser, Jerry Fiser, Richard Hansen, and Laird Van Renterghem, with burial in the I.O.O.F. cemetery at Brooklyn. Music was provided by Mrs. Edith Shaul.

Wilma R. Benton, daughter of Emory and Minnie Benton was born Aug. 15, 1894 at Brooklyn. She attended the Brooklyn school.

On Feb. 8, 1916 she was united in marriage to Floyd Fiser of Brooklyn and to this marriage four children were born. Mr. and Mrs. Fiser farmed before moving to Carnforth where they made their home.

Mrs. Fiser had been in failing health the past five years. She entered the University Hospital in Iowa City and had surgery on Aug. 25 and died there Wednesday afternoon, Sept. 21, at the age of 72 years, one month and six days.

She is survived by her husband, Floyd; two sons, Wallace of Ladora and Leonard of Des Moines; one daughter, Mrs. Freddie Hansen of Victor; 19 grandchildlren, four great grandchildren, four sisters, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Merle; one sister and four brothers.
