FLOYD FISER

Floyd Fiser, son of Rollin and Dora Fiser, was born on a farm southeast of Victor, July 25, 1896. He was united in marriage Feb. 8, 1916 to Wilma Benton. To this union four children were born.

The couple farmed in the Brooklyn and Victor community for several years. After retiring they made their home in Carnforth. His health had been failing the past several months. He entered the Grinnell General Hospital Dec. 2, 1970 where he died Monday morning, March 1, at the age of 74 years.

He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Fred Hansen of Victor; two sons, Wallace of Ladora, Leonard of Des Moines; 19 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Winnie Benton of Marengo; besides other relatives. He was preceded in death by his wife Wilma, his parents, and one son, Merle. Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 3 at the McAninch Chapel with Rev. John Rosenberger officiating. Casket bearers were Dean Fiser, Dennis Fiser, David Fiser, Laird Van Renterghem, Richard Hansen, Jerry Fiser, with burial in the IOOF cemetery at Brooklyn.
