MRS. RAYL SERVICES WERE SATURDAY

Rites for Mrs. Fred (Meriam) Rayl were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 16, at the Steffy Funeral Home with the Rev. Myron Harris officiating. The organist was Mrs. R.W. Doonan.

Casket bearers were Ed Hender, Joe Handell, Ross McDonald, Harlan Wolford, Marcus Shearer and Dwight Purdum. Burial was at the Masonic-IOOF Cemetery.

Mrs. Rayl, 72, passed away at her home Wednesday afternoon, May 13.

The daughter of Richard and Maggie Diltz Gault, she was born in Appanoose County on May 11, 1898. She attended schools there and on Sept. 12, 1917, she married Fred Rayl. Shortly after their marriage they moved to Poweshiek County.

Survivors include her husband, Fred; their three children, Donald of Shawnee, Kans., Mrs. Dean (Mary) Koger of Newton and Audrey Marsh of South Milwaukee, Wisc.; 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Alice Hutchison of Cincinnati, Iowa, and Mrs. Jessie Nolbach of Falbrook, Calif.; and a brother, Carol Gault of Los Molinos, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two sisters.
