WILBUR NORRIS SERVICES HELD

Wilbur E. (Bill) Norris, 49, of Rte 1, Hamilton, Ill., died Saturday evening April 7, in Graham Hospital, Keokuk. He had been ill for two days.

The son of Fredrick William and Ruth Gilbert Norris, he was born in Grinnell Nov. 10, 1923. He married Alice Jochims Aug. 21, 1943, in San Antonio, Tex.

An automobile body repairman, Mr. Norris worked for Muegge Used Cars in Hamilton, operating Norris Auto Sales part-time. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He was of the Lutheran faith and was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose.

Survivors include his wife; one son, Ralph, serving with the U.S. Air Force in Hawaii; three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Janet) Buehl of Hamilton, Mrs. James (Diana) Gatzmeyer of Austin, Tex., and Mrs. Michael (Karen) Rupp of Keokuk; one brother, Kenneth of Grinnell; three half-sisters, Carol, Jeanie, and Shirley; his stepmother, Mrs. Delsina Norris of Keokuk, and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services for Mr. Norris were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 10, at DeJong's Funeral Home in Keokuk, with the Rev. A.E. Neve officiating.

Military rites were held, with burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Keokuk.
