DEATH RECORD
Henry Orr

Henry Orr, whose home was east of Neligh, died Tuesday evening, October 12, after a long illness. The funeral probably will be Friday afternoon from the M.E. church in Neligh, though the time has not been set definitely. Mr. Orr has been sick for a long time with stomach trouble and a short time ago went to Omaha to consult specialists in the hope of obtaining some relief. They gave him no encouragement however, in fact told him the only thing he could do was to go home and make himself as comfortable as it was possible under the circumstances during the short time which he had to live.

Henry Orr was born in Ulster, Ireland, about 61 years ago and emigrated to America when 18 years old. He first went to Pittsburg, at which place he had relatives, living there and in New Jersey for a time. From there he came to Iowa, which was his home until 1907. At Montezuma, Iowa he was married to Miss Catherine Thompson, who survives him. They came to Antelope county in 1907 and settled on the farm east of Neligh which was the family home up to the time of his death.

He is survived by the widow and the following children: William of Angora, Nebr.; Mrs. Henry Reutzel, jr., living east of Neligh; Henry who lives on the farm east of Neligh; and the following children at home, Willard, Miss Wilfarene and Miss Leonora.

During the years of his residence here Mr. Orr has made many friends who learned to esteem him highly and there is sincere mourning over his demise. He was in the best sense of the term a good citizen and a good neighbor.
