KATHERINE WILFARENE ORR KUBAL

The following obituary is taken from The Neligh Leader, being sent in by Mrs. Sherman Hall, a cousin of the deceased: Katherine Wilfarene Orr Kubal, daughter of Mrs. Catherine Orr, was born May 4, 1897, in Brooklyn, Iowa, where she lived with her parents until nine years of age, when the family moved to Neligh, Nebraska. There she attended school graduating from Neligh high school with the class of 1915. Following her graduation she taught three years in Antelope county schools. The next year she entered the Wayne State Normal, graduating from there in 1919. She then continued teaching until her marriage to Edwin Kubal on July 7, 1925. They made their home in Gary, Indiana. Shortly after, she was stricken with complications which steadily grew worse in spite of all the devoted husband, relatives and friends could do, passing to her reward May 11, 1926, being at the time of her death, 29 years, and 7 days of age.

Wilfarene united with the Methodist Church in 1914, to which she has constantly been faithful. She leaves to mourn her loss, the grief stricken husband, aged mother, four brothers and two sisters, besides a host of other relatives and friends. The father preceded her in death eleven years ago.
