MRS. HAPPY RITES HELD FRIDAY

Funeral services for Mrs. Minnie Happy were held last Friday afternoon at two o'clock at Bramer's funeral home in charge of the Rev. M.O. McKenzie, pastor of Grace Methodist church. Burial was in I.O.O.F. cemetry with the following serving as pallbearers: Howard Patten, William Greenwell, Earl Force, Delmar Richman, Lee Cram and Bert Wolford.

Minnie C. Colvin was born Sept. 23, 1864, at Potsdam, N.Y., and her death occurred Oct. 31 at the home of Mrs. Helen Sharer in Montezuma. She had been in ill health for only a brief time.

CAME HERE IN 1880

Following her mother's death she lived with a sister at Essex Junction, Va., and moved with them to Minneapolis, Minn. At the age of 16 she came to Brooklyn to visit another sister, Mrs. A.A. Wood, and remained here.

April 6, 1884, she married Arthur J. Happy and two children were born to the couple, Pearl, who died in infancy, and Lester, whose death occurred in 1912.

Mr. and Mrs. Happy made their home in Brooklyn until 1946 when they went to Montezuma to live in the John Wright home. Mr. Happy died in 1949. Mrs. Happy continued to live in the Wright home until Mrs. Wright's death last year at which time she moved into the Sharer home.
