LESTER C. HAPPY PASSES TO GREAT BEYOND
Printer Employe of Sentinel Succumbs to Lead Poisoning After Short Illness

Less than two weeks after being taken home suffering with chronic lead poisoning Lester Clair Happy succumbed to the insidious disease Monday forenoon.

Mr. Happy had been an employe of The Sentinel for eight months. Previous to that he had been in the employ of The Leader. He and Mrs. Happy arrived here a year ago and made their home with Mrs. Happy's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Affolter.

Lester Clair Happy was born at Brooklyn, Iowa, Oct. 30, 1886, his parents being Mr. and Mrs. A.J. Happy, still residents of that city. He learned his trade on the Brooklyn Chronicle. He was married Dec. 14, 1907, to Miss Elizabeth L. Affolter, who survives him.

Funeral services will be held today at Veatch's Chapel, after which the body will be taken to Brooklyn, Iowa, and interred in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery. It will be accompanied by his wife and parents.

Mr. Happy was a chicken fancier of repute. His favorite bird was the Partridge Wyandotte, of which he had the only breeding pen in the city.
